Foods from the Road

Sauerkraut, pickled beets, peas and cucumbers from a produce stand along the road

our (lunch) diner feast in Honaker, KY

Mountain City, TN: canned spinach, avocado, canned black-eyed peas and tomato mix, carrots, pickles. The canned spinach is not as good as the canned other greens (collards, turnips, mixed greens) which are slightly flavored and a bit less mushy. The sidewalk outside the funeral home was delightful.

Dinner our first night. Squash and cucumber from a produce stand, carrots, cheese, sunflower seeds, rehydrated hummus, cashews, hardboiled egg, salsa.

Dinner the first night. Canned salsa is surprisingly good!

Little flavor packets! Paprika, rosemary, black pepper.
