Yes, yes yes! I like the idea that we are -- at some mythical point in the past -- allowed "unsafe" speeds, but now have to bring it back down...

ReplyDeleteAlix, there is an ancestor of yours named Alexander G.Y. George. The Georges were in the first House of Burgesses in Virginia. You know that picture your dad has of Thomas Jefferson Chandler. Alex is his grandfather. He's buried in Tom's Creek, Johnson Cty. KY/ There has got to be some history there, with such an elaborate name, but I haven't been able to sort it out. Maybe you could find his grave.
