Day 1: Cary, NC to Jamestown, NC

One day down! Total mileage: 90 We're starting to get tired of telling people we're riding across the country after biking for less than a day. But everyone we meet has been incredibly nice and excited for us nonetheless. It's amazing how many people you interact with even if you're on a bike almost the whole day.
Dana (Sonja's dad) biked with us from her house to Jordan Lake this morning! Here we are posing for the first of many selfies this summer.
Just before Dana turned to head back to Cary, we spotted this clever contraption mounted on the back of a motorcycle. Further questioning revealed that the owner of the bikes makes and sells these sweet racks from Chapel Hill. Bikers with Bicycles = fantastic new Tumblr?
10 miles after Dana turned around, a wrong turn took us (rather conveniently) by Weaver Street Market in Carrboro. We decided it would be negligent not to get an early lunch and listen to the music. It was a rather nice way to say goodbye to the Triangle.
Happy people dancing
